Barry Riopelle, one of Kevin's many friends, passed away on July 24, 2013, at age 52, after a week-long battle from a head injury. Barry, will be remembered as a kind and giving friend of Kevin. His selfless generosity to all will be missed.
During Barry's long career as a bicycle mechanic and frame builder, he was instrumental in keeping Kevin's bike on the road. When Kevin's bike needed repair, it was Barry who was always there to help to get Kevin back on the road as soon as possible.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to Barry's friends and family during this difficult time.
Barry's last gift of generosity was that he was a registered organ donor with the Gift of Life. In lieu of flowers, Barry's family has requested donations to the foundation that was established in Kevin Degen's name in memory of Barry's close friendship with Kevin and his overwhelming generosity in helping others.
